About JF Custom Portraits

​Jennifer Faria has spent her life mastering the art of portraiture. It is her first true love, and still remains one of her favourite forms of artistic expression. Feel free to peruse the gallery section of this site for some examples of her painted and illustrated custom portraits.

Her painted portraits are produced using a variety of medium viscosity acrylic paints, including Liquitex, Golden, and Winsor & Newton brands. Each JF painting is coated with a non-yellowing, synthetic varnish to provide sheen and a permanent protective finish.

Her illustrated portraits are produced by using a range of Staedtler Mars-Lumograph graphite, B pencils, as well as a mechanical pencil (for extra-fine detail), and Canson® 100lb fine-textured, vellum bristol paper. Each JF illustration is fixed with an acid-free/archival safe protective spray coating to prevent smudging, as well as matted and sealed in a plastic envelope.

The front of each JF creation contains the highly recognizable JF ligature, while the alternate side includes the completion date, as well as Jennifer's full signature.
